Your First Visit to a Cape Coral Barber Shop

Walk in or book, how to ask for the cut, and what it costs.

First time in the chair on Pine Island Rd

Walking into a barber shop you have never been to is a small gamble: you do not know the prices, you do not know whether you need an appointment, and you are not sure how to describe the cut you have in your head. Here is exactly how a first visit goes at our Cape Coral shop, so none of that is a surprise.

Walk in or book — the price is the same

You can just come in. Walk-ins are welcome every day we are open and you go into the queue when you arrive. Booking ahead does not cost extra; it only guarantees a specific barber and a specific hour, which is worth it on a Saturday. You can book on the Cape Coral page or read how the queue works in our walk-in guide.

How to ask for the cut you want

The words that actually help your barber are fewer than you think. Four of them cover almost everything:

  • How short on the sides — a guard number if you know it, or just "skin", "short" or "leave some length".
  • Taper or fade — a taper stays low and soft around the ears and neck; a fade climbs higher and blends harder.
  • How much off the top — say it in fingers or inches, not in adjectives.
  • The neckline — squared off, rounded, or left natural.

And bring a photo. A photo on your phone settles in three seconds what five minutes of description will not, and no barber is offended by it. If your Spanish is better than your English, that is not a problem here either — our barbers work in both languages, which we wrote about in our Spanish-speaking guide.

What it costs, before you sit down

Our price list is posted in the shop and on the home page, and it is the same whether you walked in or booked. A regular haircut is $20, a specialty cut such as a fade, flat top or mohawk is $30, a boy's cut (10 and under) is $25, a senior cut (62 and up) is $20 and a line up is $10. A beard trim is $10, a hot-towel shave is $15, eyebrows are $8. The packages are $35 for a haircut plus beard and $45 for haircut plus beard plus eyebrows.

Pick a quiet hour for the first one

A first visit goes better when nobody is in a rush. Weekday mornings are the calmest stretch of our week; Saturdays and the hours right after school are the busiest, and Sunday is a short day that fills up early because we close at 2 PM. If you want to be sure, call (239) 327-0614 before you drive over.

If it is your kid's first haircut

Bring them earlier in the day rather than later, and tell us it is the first time — it changes how we start. A boy's cut for 10 and under is $25 and patience is included; there is more on what to expect on our kids' haircut page.

FAQ

Q.01Do I need an appointment for my first visit?+

No. Walk-ins are welcome every day we are open, at the same price as a booked appointment. Booking only guarantees a specific barber and hour.

Q.02What is the best way to explain the haircut I want?+

Say how short the sides go, whether you want a taper or a fade, how much comes off the top and how you want the neckline. A photo on your phone helps more than any description.

Q.03How much is a first haircut at your Cape Coral shop?+

A regular haircut is $20 and a specialty cut such as a fade is $30. Kids 10 and under are $25 and seniors 62 and up are $20.
